Faith Formation for Elementary Children

What We Offer

This ministry helps parents to fulfill the promises they made at their child's baptism by teaching children the riches of our Catholic faith and helping them to come to know and love Jesus more fully through the sacraments. Faith formation also helps older children who have not yet been baptized come to know Jesus and prepare to receive him in the sacraments of baptism, communion and confirmation. Faith formation classes meet weekly during the school year. Classes are taught by volunteers who love their faith and desire to share that love with the children. The faith formation year ended with the celebration of first Holy Communion in May. We also hold a number of "child oriented" events throughout the year. The St. Nicholas party, our Lady of Guadeloupe celebration and Posada in December, the Mardi Gras party in February, the May crowning of Mary and the Holy Ghosts at Halloween were the highlights of the past year.

Marcial Lopez is the Director of Catechetical Ministry.
